Halloween Movies

(Possibly Scary) Halloween Movies to Watch as told by a Weenie.

I am the first person to say no to watching a scary movie or TV show. Every time I watch Criminal Minds I have a difficult time falling asleep. I could barely watch Disturbia with Shia Labeouf, a horror-thriller film that is neither a horror nor actually that scary at all.

Non-Conformity to Fall Fashion

Christmas decorations are being set up on the Walgreens in Astor Place. Ice skating rinks are starting to open. It could start snowing in a few weeks. It was in the 50’s in New York City this past week. I still refuse to wear a jacket until November.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

It’s the second week of September and already I find myself rummaging through my sweaters trying to find something warm to wear in the mornings. I was tired of wearing shorts after the third day of class, but now after one week of wearing warmer clothing, I’m asking myself where Summer disappeared to. Horrible foreshadowing newspaper articles are already being released, scaring us New York City dwellers, stating that it’s going to be an especially bad Winter with record breaking snowfall. I had been hoping that everyone who told me last Winter was an anomaly would be correct. I guess not.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Fall. It happens to be my favorite season. However, I would Summer a little longer before hibernating for the seemingly 8-month-long Winter. Fall is great. There are beautiful leaves falling (off of the few NYC trees that exist), the temperature is crisp and fresh, it’s acceptable to drink apple cider and hot chocolate, you can go apple picking and buy apple cider donuts, and most importantly for many Americans, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes.
